Download PowerPoint 2010 and see for yourself. For new or occasional users it may be bewildering, while advanced multi-media fans may find it lacking. Pros: Improved interface, updated multimedia features, free cloud hosting.Ĭons: Extra features make for a more complicated program, while very advanced user.Ĭonclusion: A cleaned-up interface and lots of extra features. You can embed videos from YouTube, bookmark specific scenes, and trim videos without needing to open the video editing tool. Other innovations that stood out include the much-improved multimedia media functionality, with more and better effects, animations and transitions. Sharing has never been easier, with the option to upload your presentations onto Skydrive, Windows Live's free file hosting service. Backstage is where you access all of the save controls, the options for printing and sharing, and some features like exporting your presentation as a HD video file. Instead of opening a menu, it now transports you to the "Backstage" view - a full screen of controls. The File menu button was replaced by the Windows orb in 2007, but now it's back with a new twist. Those who found that ribbon less than intuitive may see 2010's updated ribbon as a return to form. The change from the menu bar to the ribbon in 2007 did not play especially well with many users. Includes 2010 versions of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher and OneNote.Enjoy powerful writing tools, new spreadsheet graph and. The File menu returns to PowerPoint 2010, although it now takes you to a separate screen. In particular, the "ribbon" interface has been given a new look that's closer to 2003's menu bar. As written on the setup wizard screen, you can find more information on Microsoft Office 2010 product key at 'Learn more about Product Keys and see examples' link given. Microsoft's PowerPoint 2010 free trial rings a number of changes on the 2007 version. Microsoft Office 2010 key is 25 characters long and is found in MS Office 2010 product packaging. Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Editor's Review She also has an interesting set of powers and abilities, and functions well in a wide variety of situations. Aya is a mature and independent character who leans on her friends for support when the supernatural becomes too much for her. The female protagonist Aya Brea in particular is one of gaming’s stronger leading women, and serves as a compelling vehicle driving the story forward. The story is also top-notch, and full of interesting (if fantastical, and rather cheesy) discussions of biology and strong characters. Music for the game was composed by Yoko Shimomura of Kingdom Hearts fame, and was widely adored for its sinister and alien vibes. Mitochondria-possessed animals and humans are twisted into horrific forms that stand alongside the best that Resident Evil has to offer. The character designs for the humans are solid, but the monsters are where attention is drawn. The visuals are gorgeous, showing some of the best in-engine graphics capable on the PS1, alongside a host of memorable CGI cutscenes. Parasite Eve is renowned for having a full suite of attributes that modern triple-A games are lauded for. Stating this game’s superior polish is no hyperbole. RELATED: Netflix Should Give These Dormant Game Franchises The Castlevania Treatment Parasite Eve Is An All-Around Great Time There’s even a good case to be made that it would be a modern classic if it got a remake. This was SquareSoft’s first M-rated game, and it is fondly remembered for being an extremely polished experience, holding up even under modern scrutiny. The game is a pseudo-sequel to the novel Parasite Eve, written by Hideaki Sena, and contains many allusions to its plot and themes. Aya is trying to stop Eve, a mutated woman who plans to destroy the human race through activating mitochondria in people's cells. It takes place in New York City, and the player controls police officer Aya Brea over a six-day span in 1997. Parasite Eve is an action-RPG released in 1998 by SquareSoft. In particular, the first Parasite Eve game feels like one of the most underrated games of the generation, escaping the confines of the RPG genre alone. A lot of great RPGs were released in the PS1 era, including the all-time great Final Fantasy 7, but some franchises feel like they never got the spotlight they deserved. Japanese developers took notice, and started experimenting with their mechanics and storytelling. By the time the PS1 came around, the role-playing game genre had been pretty well-defined, at least by the standards of JRPGs. Violins, drums and other string instruments really drive home the ancient, god-like mysteriousness that this title portrays to perfection. Accompanying your speedy zipping throughout this world are soothing orchestral tones. On a musical level, again, I adored this game. Yes, it does look a bit like Journey here and there but that is by no means a bad thing. The creatures are eerily wonderful, the shrines look worn, and the main character is beautifully designed. The world feels like it has been there forever, it feels lived in, and every second I spent within this attractive world was a joy. While it has a cartoony look to it, the lighting, world design and overall art-direction give the game a mystical, ancient feeling. I love animals though so this game was great all the way through in that sense. Overall, I found the eagle a great feature of The Pathless in both finding new areas and as a companion to help me solve the game’s many riddles. He does have other story-based quirks but I like to leave some stuff for you to discover yourself. In a puzzle-solving sense, he can be used to retrieve weights to weigh down switches, move objects, and help you ride air flows. In an exploration sense, your eagle can be used to hover over larger gaps and be used to shoot up into the air to reach higher plains. I will not spoil how you end up with this loveable winged creature but the eagle does play a big part in your exploration and puzzle-solving. Oh yeah, I have not really mentioned the feathered fellow yet have I? Yes, you can pet the eagle! In fact, you will pet the eagle a hell of a lot. During your jaunts across this beautiful land, you collect small gold gems that build up to extra boosts while your eagle companion is carrying you. The God Tokens you collect to eventually reveal the area’s boss are not the only rewards for exploration and puzzle-solving. The chase sequences do have a small hint of Shadow of The Colossus to them, which did bring back a tad bit of nostalgia. They usually start with a chase sequence where you have to destroy targets on their bodies while avoiding hazards, then they end by a one-on-one face-off in an arena.Įach boss has differences and intricacies you need to work out but they are all fun, fast, and heart-pounding. These battles, that take place when you have cleansed enough beacons are brilliant. Large Scale Boss FightsĮach area of the game is ruled by a god that has been corrupted by the Godslayer and resides in an ominous red swirling mass at the centre of each explorable area. The bosses of this game are equally mysterious and brilliant. These puzzles you encounter will usually reward you with God Tokens, these tokens are used to cleanse Sauron-like beacons throughout that land and allow you to take on the boss of the area. What it really works out to be though is an extra tool you can use to see rough areas that may need exploring or walls and secret doors with puzzles and tasks behind them. This headband that you stole, or ‘borrowed’ allows you to see gaps between realms. That, along with a magical visor headband thing you rob off a corpse at the start of the game, make sure you’re always progressing, without ever checking a map or looking at a waypoint. That is what is so clever about this game, you do not get told where to go, your curiosity and the brilliantly designed landscape will show you where to go, without you even realizing it. While you are flying through the environments like a cross between Usain Bolt and Robin Hood, you come across all manner of puzzles, shrines, and interesting things that catch your eye. Traversal is fast, fluid and a lot of fun! This system in itself is entertaining, never mind the rest of the game’s many great facets. You are zipping through trees, jumping over streams and linking it all together by shooting these speed-inducing targets. These two small details lead to amazing feats of athleticism and performing speedy platforming feats that make you feel wondrous. You can run and you can jump but scattered around the map are idols, floating in the air, shoot them and you will get a speed boost or a boost to your jump whilst in mid-air. The main hooks for the Pathless are the aforementioned exploration and perhaps even better than that, the game’s amazing movement and traversal systems. By the end of 2007, the company had released around 15 casual games and its first PC game, reaching a monthly revenue of $300,000. They founded Playrix, rented an office in Vologda, and hired ten employees. īy 2004, Igor and Dmitry Bukhman had released three games and 30 screensavers, bringing their earnings to $10,000 a month. They released another game six months after that and started selling screensavers that they bought from programmers. Six months later, the Bukhman brothers released their second game, which brought their monthly revenue up to $200 and allowed them to buy a second computer. The game brought in $60 in its first month. The brothers sеt its price at $15 and uploaded it to two hundred app catalogs. They released Discovera later that year, which was similar to the game Xonix. Igor and Dmitry Bukhman started working on their first game in 2001 on a computer with a Pentium 100 processor. In October 2022, the company said it was ceasing operations in Russia and Belarus due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. I'm definitely excited to see an improved version, however. The Times is committed to reviewing theatrical film releases during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a consequence, the MSiA!! Exia's limbs had a poor range of movement because the GN Sword I's length interfered with most poses, especially of its arms, and also the arm couldn't hold the GN Sword I in a fixed position either.īut otherwise, it wasn't that bad.But certainly it could use some better engineering. Its GN Sword I wasn't constructed all that well, being both difficult to keep connected to the Exia's forearm and kept joined together in general.Ģ. The MSiA!! Exia, while not horrible, did have two major problems with it, which, in my opinion, impeded with the overall success of the figure:ġ. This is just as good.Īlthough I suppose it coming with parts to simulate the makeshift repair Exia from the first ep of season 2 is probably not likely. Its weapons looked to suffer from the usual MSIA accessory "gigantism" and I was figuring it was a likely candidate for EMSIA treatment too. Thundermuffin wrote:Yay, put me down for an RD Exia and Masurao. The one seems the most likely- although with the budget stylings of the S2 Gundams and the molding that the second season 1/100s use, I'm wondering if it's actually too complex of a design for the current paradigm of 00 models. But I'm going to keep holding out good hope for a Susanoo at least. It's unlikely, but I'd kill for a 1/100 GN-X. I'm just hoping for one or two more kits. Really if the line ends here, there shouldn't be much need for complaint, because it has had a very good run for an AU 1/100 line. So hope for one or two more 00 kits isn't lost yet, but with the show ending next week and no new 1/100 anouncements, the chances for more 1/100 00 kits does start to become dim- All of the main gundams are now accounted for, and Graham did have one 1/100 released already in the form of the overflag. Seed showed us that sometimes even a frozen line can have stragglers, as the Saviour, Gold Frame Amatu and Green frame all came out a good while after the show. As it stands, the 00 line seems to be relatively frozen. The only reason we'd have for doubt on the Masurao/Susanoo at this point would simply be the lack of information on anything new in terms of 00 1/100, when history has shown that releases are typically announced a good two to three months ahead of time. While less popular units like the druggies in SEED got their Gundams passed on. Popularity is one of the main factors and you don't need to be in a Gundam to get a 1/100 kit as we've seen this happen in EW, Turn A and Destiny's 1/100 lines. I bet we do see the Musurao or Susanoo in 1/100 because Graham is a popular character. Of course this lead people to believe if they are makign the HCM Pro they'll definetly make a HG. Getting the RD Regent reminds me of the Destroy Gundam getting the HCM Pro. Bandai doesn't seem to like to produce those units. It's incredibly unlikely to see an HG Regent or any other giant mecha. Thus having characters like Sergei, Graham, Soma and Patrick in non Gundams this gives character fans a chance to snag up their non Gundam units.Īs for the specific questions now. Every character in the show does not need a Gundam. This was also aided by the fact they actually put named characters in the units!Ġ0 continued with the lessons learned in Destiny and continued to expland that, this were really the lessons from UC in the first place at any rate. So by the time Destiny came around they tried to change this and seeing as their original designs failed in SEED they went and brought back old units and modified them. This idea didn't work out too well in the end as the end result only a few units got actually released in HG while other units like the HG Stiker Dagger got axed and released as part of a SEED-MSV line instead. Bandai tried to change this with SEED and started to release the mass produced units in both 1/144 and HG 1/144. The long standing focus of the AUs have been on the Gundams themselves. Manipulate, trigger and mix video clips with sound, animated text strings or live cameras in much the same way as mixing music to create a spectacular audiovisual show. While I found the new interface a bit irritating, $9 isn’t much to spend to get the dark interface, as well as other enhancements. HitFilm Express 14 is a significant upgrade over previous versions, with the most noticeable changes being its new “light” interface, and a new fee structure for those who don’t mind paying for additional features. A handy new Favorites folder lets you quickly find your favorite and most-used effects. Certain effects – like Chroma Key, particle effects and Light Flares – can be positioned at a specific point. You can now double-click the effects panel to apply effects to a selected layer and drop 2D effects directly onto layers in the viewer. You can now drag and drop a variety of special effects on to your video. I hope the developers revisit the interface color scheme again and refine it a bit – or even better, continue to offer interface color choices in the default free version. The dark interface is available for first time users only if they purchase a starter pack for $9. If you were lucky enough to have owned previous versions of the app, the upgrade gives you the choice of either the dark or light interface. I found the white interface way too bright and the contrasting orange color has an almost iridescent quality that goes poorly with video interfaces. With the new version comes a light face, which is bound to distract some longtime users. Until now, HFE has sported a classic dark gray interface that’s been the style for most pro-level video editing apps. Version 14’s interface is as different from the previous version as night is to day - literally. HitFilm Express is stable and moves smoothly without stuttering through operations.Ī new light interface is now the default, though owners of previous versions can revert to the original dark interface for free.
